What's the most drastic change you've ever made to your appearance?

And that is where it will stay until I finally go to the salon for my next great experiment, which will be hot pink. No, seriously. I want hot pink hair. I am going to do it as soon as I decide it doesn't mean I have to buy a new wardrobe to go with it. (Everything I own is red.)
What's your favorite radio station, past or present?
Oh man. This is an easy one for me. My favorite station, hands down, is WBEZ Chicago. It's the NPR station here and has all my favorite radio crushes, including Ira Glass. Also, if you can catch them on Friday nights, you can hear Niles Frantz playing all the blues you could ever handle. Niles is awesome. I would die without NPR.
What would the title of your autobiography be?

"She drank good ale, punch and wine, and lived to the age of 99."
I think that should about sum it up.
What's your sign? What do you think of astrology and horoscopes?
I'm a Scorpio, and a rather textbook one at that. It's ON ON ON or OFF OFF OFF with me, and rarely anything in between. I am constantly fighting a battle between my emotional self and my vulcan brain. I'm also known for being very quiet and observant for quite a long time until I decide the time is right to STRIKE and get what I've been waiting for.
I would like to write astrology off as a whole, but sometimes, I think it's ridiculous to think that the moon, which can move entire oceans on our planet, can't have an effect on the matter in your head. I've also known a lot of people who very distinctly fit into the 'type' dictated by their sign. I think it's fascinating, but I hold out the reserve that there are exceptions to every rule.
starting trouble as often as possible. i am such a shit disturber.
Do you have a nickname or a name certain people call you? Where did it originate?
I guess it depends who you are. I have a few nicknames. My dad calls me Liz or Lizzie, based on my middle name (which is kind of ridiculous since he's the one that so adamantly named me Amiee. He even chased the nurse down the hallway to be sure she spelled it that way on my birth certificate.) My mom calls me Mo, or Me-Mo, dating back to when I was learning to talk and couldn't pronounce Amiee correctly.
I have some friends who still know me from when I had really, really long hair, and they still call me Rapunzel from time to time. And anyone from the internet usually knows me as Thaumata. They usually say it wrong, too. They say it "thow-MAH-tuh" when really, it's "Tow-mu-TAH." but whatever... not everyone does greek.
When I was nineteen, my boyfriend at the time used to always call me Nineteen. We used to listen to that Steely Dan song together and joke about how we couldn't dance together. I smile fondly at those times, which is why I don't mind calling my current boyfriend TwentyOne all the time. I'll be sad when he has a birthday this fall and I have to call him TwentyTwo.
QOTD today was if I had ten thousand dollars and I had to spend it in one hour, what would I do with it?
I'd put up a post offering to fly people wherever they wanted for free, first come, first served. There are always a lot of people I love that I'd love to visit were it not for the airfare holding me back. Surely, there must be others in the same situation.
I'm going to spend my weekend working, actually. And by "working", I mean "lying in my underwear under a fan eating ice cubes" because summer has certainly arrived and I don't like it one bit. Ok, maybe I'll lie there with my laptop and pretend to read my mail. Doesn't that count for at least 50%?
Why hasn't this household invested in A/C? Would someone like to tell me that?
